Senator Doug Mastriano marked the anniversary of the Treaty of Paris and highlighted a historical quote about the Bible in a series of posts on September 3, 2025.
In his first post, Mastriano wrote, “Sept 3rd – 1783 Treaty of Paris signed — American Revolution ended https://t.co/M0pCgiGfgw” (September 3, 2025). The Treaty of Paris, signed on September 3, 1783, formally ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain and the United States. This agreement recognized American independence and established borders for the new nation.

Later that day, Mastriano quoted John Quincy Adams: “John Quincy Adams – ‘The Bible is of all books in the world that which contributes most to make men good, wise, and happy.’ — Praising Scripture as the greatest influence on human virtue. https://t.co/A6VZe4h8KP” (September 3, 2025). John Quincy Adams was the sixth president of the United States and was known for his strong advocacy for education and moral development.
Senator Doug Mastriano represents Pennsylvania’s 33rd district. He has previously emphasized themes related to American history and religious values in public statements.
