Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano, who represents Adams and Franklin counties and serves as chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, posted a series of messages on April 3, 2026, reflecting on historical and religious themes.
In his first post of the day, Mastriano commemorated the anniversary of the Pony Express. He wrote: “On April 3, 1860, the legendary Pony Express began its first ride, carrying mail across nearly 2,000 miles from Missouri to California in just about 10 days—an incredible feat for its time. Though it operated for only 18 months, the Pony Express became a lasting symbol of” (April 3, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Mastriano addressed themes central to Christianity. He stated: “The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith and a powerful reminder that hope, grace, and new life are always possible. ‘And behold there was a great earthquake and the angels of the Lord came and rolled back the stone and for fear of him the'” (April 3, 2026).
In an evening post referencing state government spaces in Harrisburg, he shared: “A powerful reminder displayed on the wall of the Pennsylvania State Senate—recognizing the arrest, crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
