Senator Mastriano has focused much of his legislative career on supporting veterans through both policy initiatives and community service. He leads as chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee as well as the Senate Local Government Committee (official website). A retired U.S. Army colonel with a Ph.D. in military history, Mastriano also authors books on military leadership and promotes veteran-focused programs across Adams and Franklin counties.
