Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, has recently shared his thoughts on economic and healthcare issues via social media. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts in Congress and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, addressed topics ranging from gas prices to Medicaid fraud.

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Scott Perry highlighted a decrease in gas prices in Central Pennsylvania. He noted that “Central Pennsylvania gas prices ($3.12) are already $.40 cents cheaper than last year at this time (AAA). Turns out we just needed leadership.”

Later the same day, Perry commented on the decline in egg prices under former President Trump’s administration. He stated that “Egg prices dropped nearly 50% under President Trump. Eggs cost $3.45/dozen today, down from $6.55/dozen on January 21, 2025.”

On March 18, 2025, Perry expressed concerns over Medicaid fraud following recent charges against individuals involved in a scheme in Philadelphia. He emphasized the need for vigilance by stating “We must protect Medicaid from bad actors so it can serve those who need it… Improper Medicaid payments could amount to $1.3 TRILLION over 10 years.”
