Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, has shared his views on several political matters through a series of tweets. Perry, who replaced Todd Platts in 2013 and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012, addressed topics ranging from international diplomacy to domestic policy issues.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Perry expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts with Russia. In his tweet, he stated: “GOP lawmakers praise Trump call with Putin after Biden ‘refused to even pick up the phone,’ per @FoxNews’ @aubriespady: ‘I’m encouraged by President Trump’s willingness to engage in diplomacy to negotiate peace between Ukraine and Russia — especially after Biden refused to even…”

The following day, March 20, 2025, Perry tweeted about education policy. He emphasized that the Constitution does not mandate federal involvement in education and advocated for returning educational responsibilities to state governments. On March 21, 2025, Perry addressed accusations regarding Medicaid policies involving Elon Musk and DOGE cryptocurrency supporters. He clarified his stance on Medicaid reform by stating: “The new war cry for leftist activists is that Musk/DOGE and, apparently, I are trying to “kill Medicaid” and “take it from those who need it…” What I have long and stridently tried to “kill” is the rampant fraud and abuse that plagues Medicaid.”
