He emphasized that the Constitution does not mandate federal involvement in education and advocated for returning educational responsibilities to state governments. The responsibility of educating our children was rightfully entrusted to the States, and I support its return to them — while ensuring the effective and uninterrupted”
On March 21, 2025, Perry addressed accusations regarding Medicaid policies involving Elon Musk and DOGE cryptocurrency supporters. He clarified his stance on Medicaid reform by stating: “The new war cry for leftist activists is that Musk/DOGE and, apparently, I are trying to “kill Medicaid” and “take it from those who need it…” What I have long and stridently tried to “kill” is the rampant fraud and abuse that plagues Medicaid.”
