U.S. Representative Scott Perry, currently serving Pennsylvania’s 10th district, has taken to social media to express his opinions on recent legislative matters. On May 2, 2025, Perry commented on his proposed legislation and recent developments in congressional activities through a series of tweets.
Perry linked a recent accomplishment with his legislative efforts in the tweet posted on the afternoon of May 2, 2025, where he stated: “Sounds a lot like my No Propaganda Act, which Congress MUST pass to codify this win into law. Thanks, @POTUS.” In this tweet, he connected his proposition, the No Propaganda Act, with a recent victory, urging Congress to solidify this success.
In a second tweet, shared on the same day, Perry suggested discrepancies in remarks made by Senator Wicker concerning defense spending. He asserted on May 2, 2025, at 16:29 that: “Senator Wicker needs to check his math. @POTUS got it right; defense spending is UP in the budget request. Clearly, @SenatorWicker’s buds in the defense industrial base thought they’d get a bigger piece of the pork.” In the statement, Perry affirmed that the President’s budget request increases defense spending, countering Wicker’s claims.
Later that day, Perry provided a summary of legislative actions undertaken in the House over the preceding week, as he posted at 20:52: “Hey folks, here’s what we did in the House this week.” He included a link to a more detailed overview, maintaining his commitment to transparency.
Perry has been representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013. Before serving in the U.S. Congress, he was part of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego, California, in 1962, Perry now resides in Dillsburg.
