Rep. Scott Perry, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, shared several statements on social media regarding recent legislative actions and international issues.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Perry announced that his “Protecting Taxpayers’ Wallets Act” had successfully passed out of committee. He explained that the legislation requires federal unions to reimburse federal agencies when employees engage in union business during official time. Perry emphasized the importance of transparency for American taxpayers by stating, “The American People should know that federal employees are being paid for…”

In a subsequent post on March 26, 2025, Perry commented on global maritime security and ongoing conflicts involving the Houthis. He highlighted the role of the United States in maintaining free sea lanes worldwide and addressed European allies directly by stating, “You’re welcome, Europe.”

Later on March 26, 2025, Rep. Perry discussed trade relations with Canada in an interview with Chris Salcedo from Newsmax. He criticized the high tariffs imposed by Canada on products such as cheese and lumber and questioned the necessity of relying on Canadian imports given domestic resources available within the United States. His statement included a firm stance against what he termed “economic abuse from our allies,” as seen in his comment: “We certainly don’t have to buy cheese or lumber from Canada and pay a 300% tariff.”
