Rep. Scott Perry, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th District since 2013, recently took to social media to address various topics of public interest. His posts reflect on his engagements and views concerning critical issues impacting the disability community and judicial roles within the government.
On March 16, 2025, Rep. Perry expressed his gratitude for meeting with members of ADAPT, a grassroots organization advocating for the civil rights and integration of disabled individuals. He noted the discussion on “critical issues facing the disability community” and acknowledged participants Pam Hour, Mark Edwards, Nancy Salandra, and Danielle Holtzman. “Grateful to meet with with ADAPT members Pam Hour, Mark Edwards, Nancy Salandra, and Danielle Holtzman to discuss critical issues facing the disability community. The following day, March 17, 2025, Perry commented on the role of the Judicial Branch in government functions. He emphasized that it is not responsible for setting national or foreign policy but is tasked with interpreting laws. He stated that it should avoid engaging in what he termed “judicial insurrection.” “The Judicial Branch is not the HR department of the federal government, nor does it set National or foreign policy. It solely interprets the law, and certainly should never engage in judicial insurrection.”
Later that same day, Rep. Perry questioned an incident involving an activist judge who allegedly attempted to halt deportations of certain migrants labeled as criminals by Perry. These included “hardcore rapists,” gang members, and drug traffickers who he claimed had broken laws both abroad and domestically upon entering the United States. “Why did an activist judge try to stop the deportation of illegal, criminal migrants – hardcore rapists, gang members, and cartel / drug traffickers – who not only broke laws in their own country before invading our Nation but came here to break ours as well?”
