Rep. Scott Perry, who has represented Pennsylvania’s 10th district in Congress since 2013, recently voiced concerns over national security and media accountability through a series of tweets. The congressman, born in San Diego in 1962 and a Pennsylvania State University graduate, was previously a Pennsylvania House Representative from 2007 to 2012.

On March 26, 2025, Perry addressed the issue of China’s land acquisitions within the United States. He tweeted, “I asked @FBIDirectorKash Patel and @DNIGabbard in today’s @HouseIntel Committee hearing about what the Nation’s posture should be regarding Communist China’s (CCP) purchases of land within the U.S. CCP has bought farmland and built infrastructure next to our military.”

Continuing on March 27, 2025, Perry addressed the topic of NPR’s leadership. He tweeted, “Watch my colleague @RepBrandonGill expose @NPR CEO Katherine Maher as an activist who runs the Taxpayer-funded network as the propaganda arm of the radical Left. Good work, sir. Gill: Do you believe that America is addicted to white supremacy? Maher: I believe that I tweeted.”

Additionally, on March 27, 2025, Rep. Perry pushed for legislative action against publicly funded media entities. He tweeted, “My bill (HR 1211) to defund NPR and PBS needs to be passed immediately — thanks, Mr. President.”
