Senator Doug Mastriano shared updates on his recent activities and engagements in a series of posts on July 21 and 22, 2025. The tweets highlighted interviews, local attractions, and initiatives related to Gettysburg.
On July 21, Mastriano posted about his appearance on a radio show: “Don’t miss my morning interview on the John Fredericks Show! ‘What this did to an administration was catastrophic, undermining the will of the people.’” (July 21, 2025).
Later that day, he described a meeting with Bob Turnauckas regarding a new local attraction: “I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Bob Turnauckas, who enthusiastically shared details about the exciting new Patriot Rail attraction in Gettysburg. This experience promises to be a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich history of the area in a unique way!” (July 21, 2025).
On July 22, Mastriano discussed another meeting focused on film and cultural engagement in Gettysburg: “I had a fantastic meeting with Kris Webb & Bo Brinkman from Gettysburg Film Commission. We talked about the significance of film to Gettysburg and how the GFC acts as a much-needed liaison—this initiative promises to create a lasting positive impact!” (July 22, 2025).
Gettysburg has long been recognized for its historical significance as the site of one of the most pivotal battles in American history during the Civil War. Attractions such as Patriot Rail are part of ongoing efforts to draw visitors interested in heritage tourism. Initiatives like those by the Gettysburg Film Commission aim to leverage film production as both an economic driver and means of preserving local history.
