On June 3, 2025, Senator Mastriano announced the passage of SB 89 in the Pennsylvania Senate. This legislation includes Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the Overdose Mapping System to enhance drug overdose tracking and improve lifesaving responses. The senator emphasized its importance by stating “This is a vital step to end the overdose epidemic which is ravaging Pennsylvania.”

In another post on June 4, 2025, Senator Mastriano recognized “American Soldier Month,” expressing gratitude for those who served and honoring their sacrifices. Also on June 4, 2025, he reflected on a significant historical event: the Tiananmen Square massacre. Senator Mastriano recalled how on June 4th, 1989, the Chinese government ordered troops to fire on unarmed protesters in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square resulting in up to 3,000 deaths. “June 4th – 1989 – The Chinese government ordered its troops to open fire on unarmed protesters in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, killing up to 3,000.”
