Senator Doug Mastriano, a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate representing the 33rd district, shared updates on his recent activities through several posts on August 8, 2025.
In one post from that day, Mastriano described a meeting with Greencastle Mayor Ben Thomas before a local event. He wrote, “I had a fantastic time visiting with Mayor Ben Thomas of Greencastle, PA before the big parade began. It was an honor to receive the Greencastle Old Home Week pin given to me by Mayor Thomas.” (August 8, 2025).
Later in the evening, Mastriano acknowledged two summer interns for their contributions to his team. He stated, “I proudly gifted our summer interns, Lili and Bryce, with team Mastriano shirts to recognize their exceptional efforts. Their contributions significantly enhanced our team’s success this summer, and we truly valued their presence. We sincerely hope to welcome them back in the” (August 8, 2025).
In another post on August 8th, Mastriano reflected on a visit to Gettysburg Battlefield alongside homeschool students and families. He posted: “We had an incredible day exploring the Gettysburg Battlefield, surrounded by a fantastic group of homeschool kids and their families #gettysburg #gettysburgbattlefield #battleofgettysburg” (August 8, 2025).
Greencastle Old Home Week is a longstanding community tradition held every three years in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. The event brings together residents and visitors for parades and other festivities celebrating local heritage.
Gettysburg Battlefield is a historic site commemorating the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. It attracts numerous educational groups each year for tours focused on history and remembrance.
Doug Mastriano has served as state senator since 2019 and is known for engaging with constituents at public events throughout south-central Pennsylvania.
