HAMPTON TOWNSHIP: Township Volunteer Board & Commission Appointments Available

Hampton township issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.

Township Volunteer Board & Commission Appointments Available

The Township is currently accepting letters of application for those residents interested in serving on the Environmental Advisory Council, Zoning Hearing Board, as well as the Shaler Hampton EMS Board. 

The Environmental Advisory Council currently has vacancies on the board.  The EAC is responsible for reviewing land development applications to ensure compliance with environmental protection regulations.  In addition, issues relative to the protection, conservation, management, promotion and use of natural resources, including air, land and water resources are also within their review.

The Zoning Hearing Board also currently has vacancies on the board.  The ZHB reviews and decides upon variance applications.  A variance may be submitted as an appeal to a permit denial, Notice of Violation, or determination by the Zoning Officer.

The Shaler Hampton EMS Board will have an appointment available beginning in 2021.  The SHEMS Board serves as the appointed Board of Directors overseeing the administrative and fiscal operations of the Emergency Medical Services.

If you are interested in serving on one of these boards, please send a letter of interest in care of the Township of Hampton, Attn:  Township Council, 3101 McCully Road, Allison Park, PA  15101, or by email to susan.bernet@hampton-pa.org.    If you have a specific interest in mind, please be sure to indicate so in your letter of application.
