Hampton township issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
Inspired by the recent adoption of its Implementable Comprehensive Plan, Hampton Township is undertaking an update to its Comprehensive Recreation, Parks, and Open Space Plan.
A Comprehensive Recreation, Park, and Open Space Plan is a plan for the future that involves extensive research, public input, and analysis. Additionally, it identifies the methods, resources, organizational capacity and capital investment needed for short- and long-term recreation and conservation goals for the community.
The process of creating this plan will include extensive public engagement. This engagement includes public and study committee meetings, key person interviews, social media outreach, and a digital questionnaire.
Other processes include a facility and open space inventory analysis as well as a review of current facilities, equipment, and greenways.
Last evening, February 22, 2022, the steering committee for this project met for the first time to begin this process. In the upcoming months please continue to use this website as a resource to stay up to date with the progress of this plan. Meeting minutes as well as a public survey will be coming soon!
