On 07/19/2022 at 1:00p.m., Hampton Township Police received a phone call from a resident in regards to a suspicious series of phone calls they had received. The reporting party advised that they received 3 calls from someone claiming to be with "Good Housekeeping" The caller requested that the resident purchase a money order from CVS. They were advised to write the money order out to "Vanilla Giftcard." The unknown actor advised the resident that they would then deliver $500,000.00 directly to the resident's house. The resident was aware that this was likely a scam and did not provide any sensitive information or money orders. The resident wanted police to be aware of this scam.
