State Rep. Torren Ecker | Pennsylvania 193rd Legislative District
House Republican Policy Committee Vice Chairman Torren Ecker (R-Adams/Cumberland) and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “The Costs and Benefits of Doing Business in Pennsylvania.” The event aims to identify and understand the real-world challenges and opportunities within Pennsylvania’s business environment, as well as explore innovative solutions to enhance the Commonwealth’s economic competitiveness, support local enterprises, and attract new investment.
Participants include Ecker, members of the committee, Charles Patterson, president of Shippensburg University; Andy Williford, head of people and culture at Volvo Construction Equipment; Darren Croxall, Shippensburg plant manager; Justin Townley, corporate engineering leader at Schreiber Foods; and Joshua Simmons, complex general manager at International Paper.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, at 1 p.m. It will take place at Shippensburg University in Stewart Hall located at 21 Dauphin Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Barring any technical difficulties, the hearing will be streamed online.
