Pennsylvania's energy production will be the focus of an upcoming town hall hosted by Representative Paul Schemel in Waynesboro. The event is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. and will take place at the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce offices.

Rep. Schemel plans to discuss Pennsylvania's role as a major energy exporter, noting that "Pennsylvania produced more than 230 million megawatt-hours of electricity in 2020, which makes it one of the biggest producers in the nation." He emphasized that natural gas is currently the largest source of power generation in the state but intends to address renewable energy sources during his presentation.

The chamber offices are located next to Montezuma’s restaurant on Walnut Street. In addition to discussing energy topics, Schemel invites constituents to bring up any other issues they consider important. "I enjoy town halls as an opportunity to hear from you directly," he stated, expressing enthusiasm for this being his first town hall meeting of 2022.
