Rep. Scott Perry questions decision-making processes and fiscal policies

Rep. Scott Perry, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania's 10th district since 2013, has been vocal on social media regarding various national issues. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012, expressed his concerns through a series of tweets.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Perry questioned the decision-making process involving non-citizens in the United States government. He quoted Director Santos saying: "So I can be someone who's from a foreign country, not a Citizen. I just come over here and I move here, and I'm accounted to make decisions on behalf of the Citizens of the United States?" Director Santos: "That is correct."

The following day, December 6, he criticized the Intelligence Community (IC) for allegedly misleading both the Legislature and American citizens about clandestine services operations abroad. He stated: "The IC has once again misled the Legislature, the American People, and those who've served in harm's way in the clandestine services on behalf of America’s interests abroad. We have to ensure trust is restored, and that those injured are taken care of."

Later that same day, Perry addressed economic concerns by criticizing fiscal policies under President Biden's administration. He highlighted an increase in national debt figures: "The Biden-Harris Admin has BLOWN UP the national debt, adding $2.36 trillion over the past year alone... Hardworking Americans shouldn't be fitting the bill for this…"
