Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, has shared his views on government operations and fiscal expenditures through a series of tweets. Perry, who has been in office since 2013 after succeeding Todd Platts, expressed concerns about bureaucratic influence and government spending.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Scott Perry posted a tweet expressing his opinion on the role of bureaucrats in government. He stated that "Bureuacrats are unelected and should have no ability to subvert the President's mandates or Constitutional authority. The swamp must be reigned in."

Later that day, at 19:43 UTC, Perry criticized certain expenditures by the State Department as wasteful uses of taxpayer money. He tweeted: "Here are some of the mind-numbingly woke projects on which the State Dept wasted/squandered your hard-earned Taxpayer dollars:"

In a subsequent tweet at 19:43 UTC on February 5, he highlighted one specific expenditure by stating: "1/7 $47,020 for a transgender opera in Colombia."
