Notice Of Public Hearing On Proposed Franklin County Community Block Grant Programs

County of Franklin issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.

The Franklin County Commissioners invite residents to offer feedback and comments on proposed projects and budget for Franklin County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for fiscal year 2021. A public hearing will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Franklin County Administration Building board room at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg. 

Specific details of the proposed projects and budget for the FY2021 CDBG application can be found by visiting franklincoutypa.gov. 

All interested residents, groups and organizations are encouraged to attend the Oct. 6 public hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to present oral testimony and/or present written comments concerning these proposed projects. Written comments may be submitted to the Franklin County Planning Department at 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or by email, planning@franklincountypa.gov. All written comments must be received by Oct. 13.

Those wishing to participate in the public hearing can attend either in person or virtually. To attend virtually, contact the Planning Department at 717-261-3855 or planning@franklincountypa.gov. Special accommodations will be made for those with disabilities and/or persons with limited English proficiency. Those requiring special accommodations should contact the Planning Department 72 hours prior to the hearing. Individuals with hearing and/or speech impairments may contact the county through the Pennsylvania telecommunications relay services at 1-800-654-5984 or by dialling 711.
