Rep. Scott Perry criticizes FEMA's policies amid allegations by former employee

Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, recently shared a series of tweets expressing concerns over FEMA's policies and practices. Perry has been a congressional representative since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts and has previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

On November 19, 2024, Perry tweeted "... I'm just simply executing again, what was coming down from my superiors." - Marn'i Washington. He described these claims as "outrageous" and emphasized that "The American People deserve to know the truth."

In another tweet on the same day, Perry stated "Criswell claims there is nothing in FEMA’s policies, procedures, and training that directs any employee to bypass anyone’s home based on political party - and yet - the fired FEMA employee says she was carrying out orders from her supervisors." He reiterated that "The American People deserve the…" further details regarding this matter.

Later on November 19, Perry criticized FEMA for its allocation of resources with his tweet: ".@fema is fine with prioritizing BILLONS of dollars to illegal foreign nationals to shelter in place while our own Citizens are not getting the aid they need." He noted that people are understandably frustrated with FEMA's response.
