Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania's 10th district since 2013, recently shared a series of tweets expressing his views on several issues. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts in Congress and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, has been vocal on various matters affecting both domestic and international policy.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Perry criticized President Biden's allocation of funds for disaster relief in Africa amidst ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene within the United States. "While Americans are still recovering from the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, President Biden is spending $1 BILLION of YOUR dollars on disaster relief aid to Africa. Shameful."

Later that day, Perry addressed past criticisms regarding the origins of COVID-19. He mentioned how individuals were labeled as conspiracy theorists for associating the virus with Wuhan and asserted that evidence now supports their claims. "The Radical Left and the media absolutely demonized all who recognized this as the Wuhan Virus - calling us ‘conspiracy theorists.’ We knew then, and we have proof now - it’s not a ‘lab leak theory.’"

In another tweet on December 4, Perry accused officials under Dr. Anthony Fauci's leadership of attempting to evade scrutiny regarding the origins of COVID-19 by using personal emails to bypass Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. He claimed that there was an effort to discredit those questioning these origins. "Under Fauci’s leadership, NIH and NIAID employees used their personal emails to evade FOIA requests, and even when their own people questioned the origins, they ensured that the story was quashed and that anyone who perpetuated it was viewed as nuts."
