Scott Perry addresses taxpayer spending and legislative efforts

Rep. Scott Perry, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania's 10th district since 2013, recently shared a series of updates on his legislative activities via social media. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012, addressed various issues including budget allocations and legislative amendments.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Perry expressed his stance on taxpayer dollars through a post stating that they should be allocated towards "critical things like forest health and forest fire reduction," rather than "anti-energy projects." He announced that his amendment was successfully passed to remove what he described as "radical and wasteful funding" from the Fix Our Fires Act. "Taxpayer dollars are for critical things like forest health and forest fire reduction, not anti-energy projects."

Two days later, on January 24, 2025, Rep. Perry provided an update on recent activities within the House of Representatives. He shared a link to further details about their accomplishments over the week without specifying them in the tweet itself. "Hey folks, here's what we did in the House this week:"

On January 26, 2025, Rep. Perry communicated his involvement with the HFC Board in drafting a letter to Speaker Johnson. The letter urged consideration of the HFC Budget Reconciliation plan aimed at equipping President Trump with necessary resources efficiently and effectively. "Last week I joined the HFC Board in a letter to Speaker Johnson..."
