Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting financial allocations by USAID for LGBTQ-related projects in various countries. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts and has a background in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, brings attention to these expenditures through his social media platform.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Scott Perry tweeted about a financial allocation stating: "$3.4M for 'being LGBTQ in the Caribbean' through USAID."

In another tweet on the same day, he noted an expenditure saying: "$80K for an LGBTQ community center in Bratislava, Slovakia."

Additionally, Perry mentioned another funding initiative on February 5 with the tweet: "$16.5K to foster a 'united and equal queer-feminist discourse in Albania.'"
