Scott Perry criticizes foreign spending and honors African American contributions

Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, recently shared his views on several issues via social media. His tweets addressed topics ranging from government spending to recognizing contributions of African Americans.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Perry questioned the rationale behind spending American taxpayer dollars on "woke agendas" in foreign countries that may not welcome such initiatives. He suggested this as a reason for reevaluating USAID's role: "How does it make sense to spend (waste) American Taxpayer dollars on woke agendas in other countries - not to mention ones that don’t want it? Yet one more reason USAID has to go."

Later the same day, he provided an update on legislative activities in the House of Representatives: "Hey folks, here's what the House did this week."

On February 10, 2025, Rep. Perry took to social media again to acknowledge and honor the significant contributions of African Americans throughout U.S. history: "African Americans have helped to shape our Nation through their courage, sacrifice, and innovation. From the battlefields to the halls of government, their contributions have sewn the fabric of America. This month especially, we honor them, their legacy, and contributions past..."
