Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania's 10th district, has shared his views on several issues through a series of tweets dated March 5, 2025. His posts cover topics ranging from federal office space utilization to sanctuary city policies and personal stories of resilience.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Perry expressed strong support for selling unused federal office spaces, which he claims are costing taxpayers $2 billion annually. He cited a study by the General Services Administration (GSA) indicating that none of the 24 federal agencies surveyed use more than 49% of their office space. "I SUPPORT - URGE! - selling our unused federal office spaces that are costing you $2 BILLION a year! We must end this waste - full stop."

Later that day, Perry addressed statements made by Chicago Mayor Johnson regarding the city's "Welcoming City Ordinance." He challenged the mayor's claim that this policy did not lead to an influx of illegal migrants into Chicago. According to Perry, Texas Governor Abbott sent migrants to Chicago because it is designated as a sanctuary city. "FACT CHECK: Chicago Mayor Johnson claims his 'Welcoming City Ordinance' [sanctuary city policy] did not result in 51,648 illegal migrants moving into his city... VERDICT: False."

In another tweet on March 5, Perry acknowledged differing opinions about Donald Trump within the Chamber but emphasized empathy towards individuals who have faced personal hardships. He referenced a young man who overcame brain cancer and a family mourning their child lost to violence by an undocumented immigrant as examples deserving bipartisan compassion. "I know there are people in the Chamber that don't like Donald Trump, but you can certainly like the young man who beat brain cancer..."
