Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing issues related to Medicaid fraud and housing development. Perry, who has been in office since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts, expressed concerns about the financial implications of improper Medicaid payments and highlighted potential solutions for community development.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Scott Perry tweeted that "Pennsylvania Led the Nation in Medicaid Fraud Charges Filed in 2024, according to HHS’s Office of Inspector General: Improper Medicaid payments could amount to $1.3 TRILLION over 10 years." He emphasized the need for significant improvements to the Medicaid program.

Later that day, at 16:37 UTC, he mentioned his meeting with various organizations focused on community development. In his tweet, Perry stated that it was a "Great meeting with Vested Communities, Burkentine Builders, and the American Enterprise Institute to hear their ideas for ways to develop federally-owned land into thriving communities with increased housing." He suggested these solutions could help address housing shortages.

At 17:10 UTC on the same day, Rep. Perry addressed criticisms from CNN regarding GOP Majority Whip Tom Emmer's stance on Medicaid waste and fraud. He tweeted "CNN attacks @GOPMajorityWhip Tom Emmer over whether Medicaid has waste, fraud, and abuse." Additionally, he provided examples of recent cases of alleged fraud involving individuals like Dana Mason from Philadelphia.
