Scott Perry, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, has recently expressed his views on key political issues via social media. Known for his strong opinions, Perry has taken to Twitter to address topics such as legislative priorities and funding for public broadcasting.

On March 26, 2025, Scott Perry tweeted about the need for Congress to take legislative action regarding executive orders issued by the President. He emphasized the importance of aligning with the mandate from American citizens, which he interprets as focusing on reducing inflation, maintaining low taxes, promoting American energy independence, and addressing wasteful spending. "Congress must codify @POTUS’ executive orders into law. Our mandate from the American People was to reduce inflation, keep taxes low, unleash American energy, and cut waste, fraud, and abuse — permanently."

Later that day at 14:53 UTC, Perry called for defunding National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), citing perceived left-wing bias. He referenced a hearing led by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's committee where alleged examples of bias were presented. In one instance mentioned by Perry, NPR's Brooke Gladstone reportedly praised Karl Marx's "Communist Manifesto." "Pass my bill and DEFUND NPR and PBS NOW. Here are 3 examples of radical Left bias..."

In a subsequent tweet posted at 15:58 UTC on the same day, Perry reiterated his stance against taxpayer funding for NPR and PBS due to what he perceives as their dissemination of biased information. He advocated for his bill aimed at cutting federal financial support to these entities while pointing out instances of media hoaxes compiled by Breitbart News' John Nolte as evidence of misinformation propagated by establishment media outlets."Why should NPR and PBS receive Taxpayer funds to publish radical Left propaganda..."
