Graduates earn 214 degrees from Wilson College

About 36 percent of the 214 degrees and certificates handed out by Wilson College in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Chambersburg conferred 71 master's degrees and 6 bachelor's degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in elementary education and teaching. Data shows the school gave out 67 master's degrees in elementary education and teaching, followed by 26 bachelor's degrees in veterinary/animal health technology/technician and veterinary assistant and 25 master's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The college enrolled 1,499 students for 2017-18, including 1,044 in undergraduate programs and 455 in graduate programs.
