Following the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, Senator Doug Mastriano expressed his support for the new administration's vision and policies.
In a statement, Mastriano emphasized Trump's strong backing in Franklin and Adams counties, where he received more than two-thirds of the vote. He highlighted that this support aligns with the district's priorities for national prosperity.
Mastriano stated, "This accomplishment reflects the strength of our shared values and the unwavering commitment of Pennsylvanians to his vision for America."
He further elaborated on Trump's focus areas that resonate with Pennsylvania's needs, such as energy production, manufacturing revitalization, immigration reform, and free speech preservation.
"Energy production is a foundation for prosperity," said Mastriano. He pointed out that Trump's emphasis on utilizing America's energy resources aims to create jobs and reduce costs.
The senator also noted Trump's commitment to reviving manufacturing in Pennsylvania by promoting local production and supporting American industries.
On immigration reform, Mastriano highlighted Trump's approach to addressing illegal immigration and combating the fentanyl crisis affecting communities across Pennsylvania.
Mastriano praised Trump's efforts to restore free speech rights: "Restoring free speech rights must be a priority." He mentioned an executive order signed by Trump to protect this fundamental right.
Finally, Mastriano conveyed optimism about Pennsylvania's future under Trump's leadership: "President Trump’s initiatives promise a bright future for Pennsylvania."
