State Senator Doug Mastriano | Pennsylvania
Senator Doug Mastriano has urged the Pennsylvania Congressional Delegation to support the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). According to Mastriano, DOGE is focused on reducing bureaucratic waste, cutting unnecessary spending, and enhancing government accountability.
Mastriano stated that taxpayer dollars have been misused on inefficient bureaucracies and redundant programs. He emphasized that this inefficiency acts as a hidden tax on citizens, with billions lost in fraudulent programs and unnecessary contracts. He highlighted the struggle Pennsylvanians face while critical resources are misallocated.
The senator mentioned that DOGE has saved $105 billion by eliminating fraud, reducing waste, and streamlining programs. He pointed to Elon Musk's companies—Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and The Boring Company—as examples of efficiency and innovation in the private sector.
“Following this model,” Mastriano said, “the public sector can eliminate waste, streamline operations, adopt data-driven decision making and use technology to reduce costs and improve services.” He called for an end to outdated bureaucracy and systems in government.
